Klein selon moi....

The previous post contained a photo of Yves Klein creating his art. A process that interests me greatly. I am a huge fan of his- both the art and the method by which it was made. It is so expressive, so raw, and so beautiful. I saw several pieces in Paris over the summer. There are a few pieces at MOMA in SF, too. I find it accessable and yet enigmatic. Well, here are some examples. If nothing else, it's sensual without being cheap. Enjoy.

so what's the deal? He pours paint on nekkid women then they roll around on a canvass?
I am going to start doing that immediately.

kind of. sometimes, when you see it, you don't immediatly recognize the human form. he used it to create something new. it's incredible. like i said, i am just looking for immortality. some of his paintings look like solid blue, or something, then your eyes begin to recognize footprints, etc. it is fabulous. i'll be your paintbrush, but you have to direct me. i'm empty. like a vessel.

Are you quoting Antony? And I think you can be sensual and be cheap. Seriously, nothing wrong with saving a few dollars.

Somehow I'm reminded of a line i used to use with the ladies, "Let's get naked cover ourselves w/paint and do it on a canvas."
Seriously though I'm enjoying the art you post!
