Obviously, I am thrilled to be back home to see my kids, prepare to move, etc. But I have to say that spending time w/ Alyssa and her beautiful family in this gorgeous city was the highlight of my trip. I feel so lucky to have had this opportunity and I cannot wait to take my family to Rome one day, too. Ciao-ciao!

la vie est belle, eh?

It is a little disgusting, is it not? Here I am relaxing at the Girardin family's weekend cottage, while poor Mark is at home taking care of 4 kids and 1 dog, working 2 jobs, trying to sell our house and our 2 cars... Ahh, I feel terrible, really - I do. But, what can I do? I eat too much, drink too much, and profit from my surroundings a bit. I have been all around Paris, toured a few castles, and tomorrow I am visiting Versailles. Wed., we are going to Normandy and Amélie will be here Friday. I hope you are all well, and I will try to keep you updated. I am heading to Rome on the 16th, but I plan to update well before that. Bonne nuite, mes amis.
